Tuy là phiên bản rút gọn, nhưng Nero Ultra Lite (Nero Lite) hoàn toàn có các tính năng cần thiết đủ đáp ứng nhu cầu ghi đĩa của bạn. Bộ cài đặt gọn nhẹ, giao diện thân thiện, nhiều tính năng cao cấp và khởi động nhanh là những ưu điểm của bộ cài đặt này. Phiên bản Lite cung cấp 2 trình ghi đĩa chính: Nero Burning ROM và Nero Express.
1. Nero Express:
So với phiên bản trước, giao diện của Nero Express 8.x được bố trí lại chỉ còn 4 tác vụ chính: Data, Music, Video/Pictures và Images. Tuy nhiên, tính năng của các tác vụ này đã được tăng cường rất nhiều. Cụ thể đối với tác vụ Data và Music:
- Data: Hỗ trợ bạn ghi thêm định dạng HD-DVD và Bluray Disc.
- Music: Cung cấp thêm cơ chế ghi một số định dạng mới dành cho thiết bị cầm tay như: AudioBook CD, Jukebox AudioCD, Jukebox Audio DVD...
Các tác vụ còn lại (Erase Disc, Disc Info...) được bố trí bên góc trái màn hình.
2. Nero Burning ROM
Để chuyển đổi từ Express sang Burning ROM, bạn chọn chức năng Switch to Nero Burning ROM trên thanh tác vụ nằm bên trái màn hình Express. Giao diện của Burning ROM cũng được chỉnh sửa lại và có thêm nhiều tính năng, đặc biệt là khả năng hỗ trợ đa định dạng và tùy chọn mở rộng cho các định dạng đó. Tùy theo các tác vụ mà bạn lựa chọn cho phù hợp.
Nhìn chung tốc độ ghi đĩa của Nero Lite khá ổn định và nhanh..
