How To:

1. Download Bitdefender 2009 Total Security
2. Go to C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\ and right click the "host" file-> properties
3. Deselect read-only and click ok Like below:
4. Now open "host" with notepad. Add to the host file.
127.0.0.1 http://update.bitdefender.com/:8080
127.0.0.1 update.bitdefender.com
5.Then save the moddified version of "host" and close.
6. Ok, now install Bitdefender 2009
7. After your done, they're should be a registeration wizard that popped up.
8. Download the keygen
9. Now use the keygen to register the product.
10. After you are finished with the registeration wizard, restart your computer.
11. Now when it prompts you to Update, Go Ahead!! You can Update now
Without any problems!

NOTE to vista users:
If you cant save the hosts file then go to the hosts file properties and select the SECURITY tab, Select the edit permissions button and then choose your username and select all the squares in the second box. Click apply and then u can edit and save it.
(it must say USER\Administrator)
